UX · UI · Product Design Consulting
I tell you what’s wrong, show you the fix, and hand your team everything they need to build it.
Design consulting for development studios, founders and nonprofits. Written critiques, clickable prototypes and developer handoff kits, delivered through a private client portal on this site.
What I do
Design critique
A plain-language review of what you have: what's working, what's getting in the way, and the one idea everything else should follow from. Written so you can forward it to a client or a team without a translator.
UX and product direction
Deciding what the product should do first, for whom, and in what order. Information architecture, flows, priorities, and the rules that keep a design coherent as it grows.
Clickable prototypes
Working screens, not pictures of screens. Switchers switch, timers run, forms route, keyboard shortcuts work. You evaluate behavior before anyone writes production code.
AI features, designed responsibly
Assistants and agents that help people use a system and get work done, with clear lines around what gets suggested, what gets drafted, and what a person has to approve.
Developer handoff kits
Design tokens, section-by-section specs, acceptance checks, licensed placeholder media, and a README that reads as a spec for a developer and as a prompt for an AI coding tool. Your team builds it in your codebase, in your stack.
Accessibility and inclusive design
WCAG 2.1 AA as a generator, not an audit: contrast-safe color systems, keyboard paths, reduced-motion behavior, and content models that keep alt text and heading order intact after launch.
How an engagement works
Critique, prototype, hand off.
Three steps, each with something you can hold at the end. Most engagements run two to four weeks. Everything is published to a password-protected page on this site, so your client can see it the moment you can.
- 01
Look
I review what exists: the live product, earlier directions, peers in your space. I talk to whoever knows how the real users work. Then I write the critique.
You get: A written critique with a scorecard and ranked recommendations.
- 02
Show
I prototype the recommendations as working screens on sample data, so you can click through the argument instead of imagining it. We iterate in rounds; feedback goes in as edits, not debates.
You get: A clickable prototype on a private, password-protected page you can share.
- 03
Hand off
I package the prototype as a kit your developers can build from, with the reasoning attached. If they're building with Claude Code or a similar tool, the kit is written to drop straight in.
You get: A developer kit, the prototype source, and an open line for questions.
A good fit
- — Development studios and agencies that build well but need a design voice on specific client projects
- — Founders with a working product that grew faster than its design
- — Nonprofits and small firms whose internal tools or websites are doing too much at once
- — Teams adopting AI coding tools who need the design decisions to be as sharp as the code is fast

Send me the product and a sentence about what’s not working. I’ll tell you within a few days whether a critique would help, and what it would cost.
